Dreamer's Pathway Scholarship

The Dreamer’s Pathway Scholarship is for students who are Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or DACA-eligible and are Nebraska residents who are seeking an undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO).

Students who qualify are eligible to receive a renewable tuition, fees, and books scholarship for up to five (5) years, three (3) years for transfer students, or until an undergraduate degree is earned, whichever comes first.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet all eligibility criteria below and submit the application and materials by the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

  1. Must have DACA or be DACA-eligible and a resident of Nebraska.
  2. Must be an admitted UNO student. Apply online for admission at unomaha.edu
  3. Must be a Nebraska high school graduate. Transfer students must also be a Nebraska high school graduate and transferring from an accredited Nebraska institution with two (2) years or less completion.
  4. Must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from most recent school.
  5. Must provide proof of need for financial assistance using the Federal Student Aid Estimator.
  6. Must have a minimum of 2 professional letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, principal, mentor, coach, or supervisor.
  7. Must complete and submit all demographic and essay questions in the application.

To renew the scholarship every year, students must maintain at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA at UNO and meet all the program requirements of the Dreamer’s Pathway Scholars Program.

La Beca Dreamer's Pathway para el ciclo 2024-2025 acepta solicitudes de forma continua hasta el 1 de Agosto de 2024.

Criterios de elegibilidad y requisitos

La beca Dreamers Pathway es para los estudiantes bajo la Acción Diferida (DACA por sus siglas en inglés) o son elegibles para el program de DACA y son residentes de Nebraska que buscan un programa de licenciatura en la Universidad de Nebraska en Omaha.

Estudiantes que califican son elegibles para recibir una beca renovable que cubre la matrícula universitaria, cuotas, y libros por cinco (5) años, tres (3) años para estudiantes transferidos o hasta que terminen la programa de licenciatura, lo que ocurra primero. Para calificar debe:

  1. Ser DACA o ser elegible para DACA y residente de Nebraska.
